Curriculum

The Montessori Preschool provides a prepared environment through which the child develops independence, concentration and self confidence through individual self-teaching activities in the areas of sensory development, motor co-ordination, language, maths, nature, art and music. The Montessori method fosters holistically the intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of the child.

 

Sample Timetable:

8.50am – 10.30am The children choose individual exercises which have already been presented to them by the teachers. During this period, teachers present new activities to the children, either individually or in small groups. The children also engage in art and craft activities.
10.30am – 11.00am Snack time
11.00am- 11.30am Play time in the yard or indoor P.E. exercises if raining
11.30am -12.00pm Circle Time with Nature Study, Religion, Singing, Language Development, P.E.
