We have been very busy in Junior Infants learning abut Spring. The children learned how birds make their nests to prepare for their chicks, how lambs are born, how buds begin to appear on the trees and how spring flowers bloom.
The boys and girls did a great job at painting lovely Daffodils and colourful Tulips from Holland.
To mark the Chinese year of the Dragon, the children painted these colourful dragons.
In March the children learned all about the Lifecycle of the Butterfly. They had a great time illustrating each stage of the life of the butterfly, from egg to caterpilar and finally to butterfly.
As part of the Visual Arts programme, the children in Junior Infants have been experimenting with clay. Here they are having great fun making scary clay monsters!
For our St. Patricks Day assembly on Friday the 16th of March, we recited a poem called ‘Seamróg, Seamróg’ for the pupils in Junior Infants to Second Class.
