Second Class made their First Holy Communion on Saturday, the 12th of May 2012 at 9am in St. Michael’s Church, Dun Laoghaire. All the recipients looked fantastic in their dresses and their suits. We would like to thank their class teacher, Ms. Egan for helping the children prepare for this special sacrament, Ms. Gallagher for guiding the choir and our school chaplain Monsignor Dan O’ Connor for performing the ceremony.
Afterwards, the children and their families were invited back to the school where the Parents Association had prepared a First Holy Communion Breakfast in our school hall. We would like to extend a special thank you to the Parents Association for all their hard work and dedication in organising such a beautiful and memorable event.
We made our Communion in St. Michael’s Church, on May 12th. We received Jesus for the first time. The bread is called the Holy Eucharist. We had our art on the altar. Everyone had a job to do. Our families came with us. There was singing. There were white bows on the seats with our names. After the church we went back to the school for a party. There was lots of food there. We also got a certificate. It was a great day.
