Spring Acrostic Poem
St. Patrick’s Day is coming
People go and see the parade
Robin Redbreast is not alone
In Spring, it is warmer
Nice flowers grow
Grass is greener in the fields.
Our First Confession
We made our First Confession last Wednesday the 14th of March. We had to learn a lot of prayers. We sang three songs. We had our First Confession in St. Michael’s Church. We had to be in church at half past seven. Our parents and our teacher were with us. There were two other schools. We are now preparing for our First Communion on the 12th of May.
We are in the middle of making a town out of cardboard boxes. We all brought in different shapes and sizes of boxes. We are making the town of Dun Laoghaire. First we decided what buildings would be important and we made a list. We all picked one building each. We opened the boxes and turned them inside out. We designed and painted the buildings.
Next we will make the roads and street furniture……stay tuned for the finished town!!
St. Patrick’s Day Assembly
On Thursday, the 15th of March, we had an assembly in the hall to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
Pupils from Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth class performed songs and poems in Irish.
We sang ‘Teidí Beag Álainn’ for everyone.
Pupils from Tin Whistle Club played a few tunes to mark the occasion.
Pupils who attend Irish Dancing danced a jig and a reel for everyone. It was great fun.
