Message from our Principal
Thank you for visiting our website. We are a Catholic School under the Le Chéile Schools Trust that has always welcomed children from all faiths, all traditions and no faith. We a very multi-cultural school with 28 nationalities in attendance this year and we are very lucky to have such a kind and caring learning community. Our staff are very experienced working with children who have additional learning needs and working with children from many different cultures. This great variety adds to the fabric of daily school life and was very much enhanced when we opened an ASD class during the pandemic. Following our successful application to Erasmus+ last year, we were just awarded Erasmus+ Accreditation in January 2023 and therefore we will continue to grow in our expertise through learning in other European countries until 2027. You can see how our pupils enjoy learning by looking at the photos on the website.
We were delighted to take part in an Erasmus+ programme last summer. Erasmus+ is the EU programme that supports education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Erasmus+ aims to modernise and improve the quality of teaching, training and youth work across Europe, and to support the development, transfer and implementation of innovative practices.
In summer 2022, a cross section of staff (10 members) travelled abroad to Spain to attend a training course designed to assist the whole school, develop intercultural competencies and to promote a sense of shared European citizenship.
Those that travelled all had a wonderful week. Here are some pictures of the highlights:
